A morning with Dr. Louis F. DeSantis, DDS, FACP

Whether you're a recent dental graduate or an experienced practitioner looking to venture into implant dentistry, this hands-on morning course is designed to equip you with essential knowledge and insights to make informed decisions. Dr. DeSantis will help you identify the right path to kickstart your journey in implant dentistry and discuss the advantages of utilizing a single prosthetic platform. By reducing complexity for both you and your dental team, this approach enhances efficiency and ensures better outcomes for your patients.

As part of the hands-on training, you will have the opportunity to use dental implant motors, and surgical kits to place implants on jaw models using the techniques presented.

Learning objectives:

• The participant will have an overview of dental implants including both indications and contraindications in a variety of clinical scenarios.
• Understand how to define the individual needs of a patient and use a decision tree to evaluate the different techniques that can be used in implant dentistry
• Understand the importance of a one prosthetic platform to reduces complexity for you and your dental team
  

Speaker: 

Dr. Louis DeSantis is board certified Prosthodontist practicing in his home town of Staten Island New York. A 1984 graduate of the New York University College of Dentistry he went on to complete a four year prosthodontics residency at Montefiore medical center. During the past 35 years he has been in both private practitioner and in Academia. Dr. DeSantis has served as department chair of Prosthodontics at New York Presbyterian-Methodist Hospital and as an associate professor of prosthodontics in the post graduate prosthodontics program at New York University.
